Mo Version 2.0

What an incredible opportunity I had to enjoy an immensely rewarding career in the property industry for over 30 years. But in the Spring of 2008 I’d decided that life is too short and I opted to test my ability to ‘morph’ into another stage of life. The time had come to sell up the family business and test my arm at ‘other things’…

I think my beautiful Wife Michelle may have preferred that I’d bought a Harley Davidson or a Red Sports Car. But with some wonderful support and advice we agreed that a life not lived to its fullest is a life wasted. I am blessed to have Michelle’s support.

I give unqualified thanks to Lynn McIntyre of Outside In Coaching for helping me to unleash the courage to dream and to dare. If I have one slice of advice to share with anyone at the top of any business team, it is to have a coach or a mentor to help crystalize your goals.

In 2010 after a short but extremely rewarding and successful stint working as a corporate coach I launched a new career in the arena of social media education.

A New Opportunity

Now at the age of 50 (plus maybe just a little bit  ;) ) the door has opened to an outstanding opportunity to meet, learn and share with a group of simply vibrant and amazing people.

The picture on the right was taken at the 2009 National Association of Realtors Conference where I was fortunate enough to first meet Jeff Turner, one of the best in the business of social media and business education.  I share this photo because to me it epitomises the power and the depth of quality relationships that can be achieved through social media. 2 years on I class Jeff as one of my closest confidantes and friends.

Kimberley Voullaire

I have also been privileged to meet and work in business with Kimberley Voullaire. A 20 something Young Lady, Kimberley provides a wonderful insight into the behavioral trends of today’s consumer.  Together we team up to provide a wonderful balance of new and old business think into an exciting hybrid for today’s new business world. You’ll find some more about Kim here.

It is these newly formed friendships that have proven to me that there is a huge opportunity for small business to very effectively intergrate social media into their businesses marketing and communications programmes. I am very ante the concept of using social media to ‘market and sell’ to people. I am very pro the concept of you interacting and proving that you deserve my business and that you are able to be trusted. There is a significant shift of power back to the consumer, and I like the opportunities that I see.
